Baltimore beauty entrepreneur Lanine “Lash Lady” Swann is no stranger to hard work. She turned retail management experience and a spur-of-the-moment decision to take a lash extension class during Aesthetic School and combined them into one of Maryland’s fastest-growing lash boutiques. At Loving My Lashes Eyelash Boutique, Swann isn’t just an owner making sure her clients are happy. She is also a mentor, trainer, and manager dedicated to developing talent and skill across the eyelash industry. Mrs. Swann’s training is sought-after, with training and apprenticeship becoming as familiar to her as installing a full-set of lashes.

 

After completing her certification in 2007, Lanine honed her skills in Baltimore salons and by attending eyelash industry training and networking events. By 2014, her business had made Baltimore Magazine’s ‘Best of Baltimore’ list, and she was becoming a sought-after lash expert for industry conventions and conferences, primarily on the west coast. Noticing a lack of these professional networking opportunities for Lash Artists on the east coast, Swann co-founded The Lash Brunch in 2017, a summit aimed at building skill and encouraging networking with east coast lash extensionists. 

 

Recently featured in Eyelash Inc magazine, Lanine’s passion for the beauty industry extends beyond her own clients and to her peers. It is not enough to ensure her clients have the best experience; she has a passion to ensure the entire industry is operating with the highest standards, and that Lash Artists take pride in their work. A rising tide lifts all boats, and she works to be the tide to propel everyone around her forward.
